We are looking for energetic individuals with a passion for interacting with people who visit our wildlife camps for wildlife experience and travel. Our wildlife safaris consists of morning and evening trips into national parks, special visits to tribal villages and local events for our Indian and overseas guets.
The suitable person must be able to work long hours and enjoy interacting with people and have the ability to learn and share information on the Central Indian forests, its people and wildlife with our guests.
The Camp Naturalist responsibilities include:
- Preparing and implementing programs for each guest while they are visiting the lodges.
- Playing host to the guests during their entire stay, showing and sharing with them information on national park, tribes and villages, conservation programs and other interesting areas depending on the clients interest.
- Keeping self updated with the latest on events around wildlife, wildlife-people issues and wildlife topics in India and other parts of the world.
- Observing, documenting and reporting wildlife behavioural information seen while in the national park every day in a daily report sheet.
- Be prepared to adminster First aid during emergencies.
Posting – Bandhavgarh, Panna, Kanha and Pench National Parks in Madhya Pradesh
Must – Good English speaking and writing skills, good driving skills with a valid license.
Joining date is 24th Sept for the Naturalist training program followed by posting to the lodge.

Conservation Assistant (Junior level )
General Purpose
We are looking for an energetic person who is self motivating and who can work with remote supervision. The Conservation Assistant (Junior level) performs a variety of tasks related to the Conservation Department of the Central Indian Wilderness Camps and work on the camp publications (in house camp conservation material, library collections, camp news letter and annual report).
Responsibilities
- Keep a track of existing and needful library collections of all the camps.
- Create a file for each camp and maintain camp conservation info for each file. This information will be used to design monthly guest handouts and quarterly news letter.
- Create files for each naturalist and collect all their daily field observation records on a bi-monthly basis.
- Maintain accounting files for each camp conservation initiative. A monthly status of conservation transactions for each camp will need to be generated.
- Text for donation requests and presentations where ever required will be prepared.
- Maintain a data base of all interesting guests who wish to contribute to conservation action.
- Field trips for executing and monitoring conservation actions will be part of the work.
- Will report to the Conservation Department Director on a regular basis through mail and telephone.
- Photocopies of interesting material useful for naturalists and keeping copies.
- Performs pamphlet binding. Binds pamphlets in pre-made binders in a variety of styles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Some directly relevant work experience and a intermediate (+2) school level education or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Good ability to work with teams.
- Patience with delicate, sometimes repetitious work and ability to accurately follow detailed procedures.
- Basic computer skills including word processing and inputting data on spreadsheets.
- Ability to ride and drive a motorcycle and car is a bonus.
Preferred
- Experience in writing and inventory keeping.
